Wildflowers!

We first arrived in Southern New Mexico in early October of 2011 and while the weather has been mostly sunny and warm, this is my favorite time of year (so far) in this little part of the world. Cacti are blooming and the colors are spectacular, especially in contrast to the shades of brown that normally surround us. Yesterday, we were hit by a very powerful and unexpected storm. When the wind picked up and the hail started I knew the thunderstorm was unusual for New Mexcio. Luckily, every storm in New Mexcio seems to end with a rainbow.
