Sandhill Crane Festival

Yesterday, we took a day trip to Bosque del Apache with the hopes of seeing some wildlife. Our timing coincided with the Sandhill Crane Festival so there were many enthusiastic birdwatchers present and wandering around the park. During our time at the park we saw thousands of sandhill cranes, some snow geese, and many other birds in the park. For a brief moment, the lighting was perfect for photographs. The mountains surrounding the park were enchanting as the sun set. It was definitely worth the trip.
